Raytheon Australia is the Hobart Class Combat System Systems Engineer – a key member of the Alliance team building Australia’s leading edge Air Warfare Destroyers.
The Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyer Program will provide the Royal Australian Navy with one of the world’s most capable multi-mission warships.
To this end the AWD Program is charged with delivering an affordable, flexible and sustainable capability required to counter conventional and asymmetric threats.
An innovative alliance based contracting strategy has been employed to achieve improved contract performance relating to schedule, budget, capability and risk management issues by improving government and industry interaction.
Raytheon Australia is a partner in the AWD Alliance and in June 2007 was confirmed as the mission systems integrator for the Air Warfare Destroyer.
